Does it matter which brand of sweetcorn you use(i had green giant salad crisp). I've just found a local ,small farm pond that has perch to just over 2 1/2 lb ,not a monster but a good start. I've travelled up to fish with Eddie over the last twelve months at Fell View & Crane Hall and was just wondering if anyone knows of any lakes/ponds that stock any bigger perch, between Liverpool and blackpool . Don't mind travelling as long as its not a busy little scally/chav venue . In my syndicate water we are lucky enough to have a good head of cats. One of them is over 50Ib's. A good few 30's and the rest are around the 20Ib mark. Now to be honest with you when you first land a cat (after you've got your breath back) your kind of wondering how the hell are you going to hold this thing ?!? It looks like something out of the Jurassic era. They are quite dosile on the bank so don't think it's going to do a mad one like a carp ...
