Another two nights on cockerham. I managed 15 fish to 12lb while my dad had two scar at 32lb and a 16lb and eight other fish. Seems to be fishing well but the same old fish are coming out the 26lb seems to be the mug fish now, been out 5 times so far this year. Two scar was healthy concoction Compares to when I had it. That makes it we both have had it 3 times now!

after getting a bit of info from you guys on the forum i headed down for a quick session. Cockerham quarry isnt the prettiest of spots, the digger and lorries didnt help and it was massivly busy.

Having said that, the fish did seem to play ball and i managed four to 19lb 14oz which is ok for a first trip.

Overall a good trip, the fish really fight above their weight in here.

Very dissapointed with the angling practices of some of the other 'fishermen' on there. Leaving rods is a big ...

Evening all. My first post on here having only recently got bitten by the carping bug!

I'm after advice and opinions on Wyreside fishery ('Little Wyre', I'm told). I did my first overnighter on Sunny 1 at Wyreside Lakes Fishery a few weeks ago (blanked - except for a tench - but so did most. There was only 1 carp caught on the lake in the 24hrs I was there), and was looking for the website to check the lake stats when I came across the site for 'Little Wyre'. Which one would you lads recommend? ...

I'll post the costs in here once I know them for anyone still interested in buying something but I'm sure they will be next to nothing

Hope you like it. I'm told that it will stitch fine on both black and green clothes, even white if you so like

Someone told me about this the other day so I've been on a hunt and found it. There is a part in the footage where you can see a carp using it's peck and touching the rig. It looks like it's actually trying to suss out if it's a rig or not. Some very good footage anyway !!

crane hall

crow lane

out rawcliffe

lancs

£15 for 24 hrs fishing, 2 lakes, a pleasure lake and a speci lake, fish to over 30lbs in the speci lake.

2 acres in size, not a water for a lot of bait, small bags and stiks are the way to go, single hookbaits do well on there aswell.

struggled at first on there, not getting runs but actually hooking the fish, they tend to be able to rid of long haired rigs quite easily.

so some tips for crane hall:

1) use short hairs

2) dont use mountains ...

All the fish where at the other end of the lake still spawning, while two 30s came out two bleeps and Rambo at low weights.

Considering joinging Wryeside Membership for Bantons and maybe Wrye in the furture, how busy do these waters get on a friday? Also does anyone know any waters around 30min-2hr drive from preston that holds 30lb+ carp? Apart from the normal ones.

We want somewhere where can focas our efforts on and suss out but also has decent rules and not stupidly pegged out (otherwise four session's lodge lake would have looked good).

Well the first Lancashire Carping social has been and gone and a great time was had by all. The weather turned against us with cold winds on the Saturday night but it did not stop a few dedicated anglers pulling a few carp out !!

A big thank you to everyone who attended our first social and to the other forum members who managed to pop up for a chat over the weekend. Also another thank you must go out to the staff at Four Seasons for their great service and hospitality. Here are the results.
